Unlike other camps or schools, we are an independent workshop with classes that are less than 6 people. Since no other classes are running simultaneously, we can keep the number of people down to the minimum, thus keeping it safe, and pay more attention to the campers.

Filmmaking Afterschool Program

Solar’s afterschool program offers children ages 13-18 enormous fun and a great learning experience. Kids will work in teams to learn how to write, shoot, edit, and direct films. We offer a hands-on filmmaking workshop, promoting storytelling in a fun, textbook-free environment.

Our philosophy is “they teach, we inspire.” The kids will be using professional filmmaking equipment while learning teamwork, expressing their thoughts, and developing their voice. Our experienced teachers will make sure students walk away from the program having had a ton of fun and laughs, having gained valuable experience, and with a complete short film created through their own artistic vision.
